Traditional English Round Baskets

  • My friend's grandmothers beautiful battered round basket, (top left in the photo), provided me with an ideal and early opportunity to replicate and hone English weaving techniques. The original basket of around hundred years old was made with a traditional tied slath base, utilising the slewing technique and a simple rod border. Traditional used as a fruit picker or as a small shopper
  • 12" diameter replica baskets made in buff and white willow.
