Commissioning & Collaboration
Collaborating with boutique businesses, interior designers, private clients and other makers, I love the challenge of creating inspirational work that showcases my heritage craft form in innovative ways.
As well as welcoming commissions for unique baskets, statement lighting and new furniture design, restoring antique willow and rush seated furniture gives me great pleasure!
Creating and teaching willow courses. These can either be 1 to 1 tuition or bespoke courses for 5 to 8 people (depending on the type of basket making course you require).
For bespoke commissions and workshops I require a 50% deposit once the commission or workshop date is arranged with a balance of payment within 30 days of the commission / workshop delivery.
I relish being part of research projects and education initiatives both in the UK and Europe that seek to champion our craft heritage, explore the impact of willow weaving in creative and therapeutical wellbeing services and that address creating our sustainable future.
I have Public Liability Insurance through the Basketmakers’ Association.
Weaving outside my campervan – though of course I can more usually be found working in my Devon studio!
