"Is the 'Fully Booked' written next to all your January - May 2020 Willow Day Dates a typo?"

Ummm… no, it’s not a typo!  All my January – May 2020 Willow Basket & Animal Sculpture Day dates are fully booked, (except for 1 place still available for the Beginners Round Basket Day on Friday 7th February – last minute Christmas gift anyone?!)

I have received a truly amazing demand for the Willow Days that I will be teaching next year at Coates English Willow.

My aim for the New Year is to focus upon gaining a greater balance for myself between my teaching you, my upcoming commissions (of which I’ve got some incredibly exciting ones), and my undertaking basketmaking training so that I can be the best maker that I can be!

This does however mean that if you are wishing for me to teach you, (or wanting to gift a place at one of my courses to friends or family), you now have the following options:

– Sign up to my MailChimp mailing list and await the release of my June – August dates.  I will be releasing my next set of Willow Basket & Animal Sculpture Day dates that I will be teaching at Coates English Willow on the Somerset Levels in January.

– Book a place at one of these Spring 2020 workshops:

River Cottage  – Basket Monday 2nd March

RHS Rosemoor – Zarzo Basket Friday 20th or Saturday 21st March

The Garden House – Floral Willow Sculpture Thursday 23rd April

RHS Rosemoor – Garden Trug Friday 15th or Saturday 16th May

– Order a Gift Voucher so that alongside other lucky gift recipients you can get priority booking for my next set of Willow Day dates over everyone else.  Head to my Courses page for more details.

Thank you so much for all your continued support and best wishes.  It means so much to me that I can earn a living from my craft form, making and doing what I love.

Wishing you all a very lovely festive season, Sarah X

p.s.  When teaching my Willow Days at Coates English Willow I always take everyone on a lunchtime tour to meet the commercial basketmakers.  On entering their workshop last Friday we encountered the ultimate Christmas Elf weaving a willow coffin (hopefully not for Santa!)  Jurek, who is an amazing commercial basketmaker, just made me hoot with laughter.  If ever there was a photo to promote why we need to keep commercial basketmaking alive in this country this is it!
