Many fine ribbons of skeined willow are layered into textured ripples that catch the light, creating an almost pearlescent effect. A rare technique that harks back to 19th Century willow fishing creels and fine basketry. The second of Sarah’s skeined willow baskets whose shape is inspired by her antique brass cleave tool.
