3 day willow furniture making workshop with Eddie Glew, September ‘24.

Working with traditional skills and techniques, taking inspiration from the willow furniture Sarah used to see being made by commercial basketmakers on the Somerset Levels. Sarah designed this chair to reference the lattice work and heavy plait borders of traditional whole willow furniture, but through creating a more contemporary shape and woven base Sarah hopes to show how wicker furniture can be given a more modern funky vibe.
