Bespoke Weaving Experiences: At my home studio in a beautiful Devon garden setting I offer the opportunity to make one of the baskets that I’ve designed for my Willow Day Workshops. For up to 3 people, great for those who wish to learn in a smaller group or for that special occasion. From £175. Having teaching specifically tailored to you is incredibly rare and extremely valuable. This is why for intermediate basket weavers, I now offer one day, (or more if you’d like!) private training with 1:1 or 2:1 tuition. From £200.
Maker in Residence at Kelmscott Manor, in Oxfordshire. Once the cherished home of William Morris, the great designer-craftsman, writer, conservationist and revolutionary socialist, from April - October I have been weaving, teaching, demonstrating and immersed in life at this historic residence.
A series of weaving workshops are resulting in a large willow leaf community sculpture emerging that will be on display for the 2026 season. Demonstrations have included the endangered technique of skein willow basketry, chair rush seating (see above left photo), and English traditional oval and square work basketmaking. Inspired by the manor, the Morris family and the Arts & Crafts ethos I’ve created a distinctive basket collection. Designed to revive traditional techniques and be perfect for our 21st century living, all handwoven by myself, these baskets will be exclusively available from Kelmscott Manor and my online shop.
