Perfect as an occasional handbag, for carrying your work lunch or even to be used for it's original purpose of collecting berries! Indigo dyed willow creates a basket that just bursts with colour, life and celebrates our 'Brit'ish craft tradition.
Each Brit 'B' Berry Basket is unique, handwoven and madeusing natural white (stripped Black Maul) willow, locally sourced from the Somerset Levels. Indigo dyed using natural vat fermentation, red leather handle, brass fixings.
Traditional English underfoot tied slath base, stake & strand basket, English rand weave.
First created in 2023, the Brit ‘B’ basket, (‘B’ stands for berry!) has become part of the ‘B’ basket collection that includes the 2022 Original ‘B’ basket, 2024 Twist ‘B’ basket and 2025 Meadow “B’ Basket.
Please note that due to indigo dyed willow varying in shade each Brit ‘B’ basket is unique in colouration. If you specifically wish for a lighter or darker indigo basket please say when purchasing. Also, whilst the indigo dye has been ‘fixed’, please treat like you would denim material.
