This basket highlights the beauty of natural white willow and is designed by Sarah to showcase and revive heritage basketry techniques including the rare traditional English tied oval underfoot slath base. The advanced fitch basketry technique gives an open feel to a basket that is completed with a distinctive broad rod border and a wide bold red burnished leather handle.
Handwoven using Dicky Meadow and prized natural white (stripped Black Maul) willow varieties, locally sourced from the Somerset Levels. Burnished red leather handle, brass fixings. (Option: Also available with antique brown leather handle).
