Featuring the endangered basketry technique of skein work, white willow rods are split and shaved down into silk ribbon like skeins that are then handwoven. Hazel branches are gathered, cleaved and shaved into hoops and ribs to create the fine framework that the willow skeins weave around.
Handwoven using natural white (stripped Black Maul) willow variety, locally sourced from the Somerset Levels. Hazel sourced from local Devon hedgerows.
