If you’ve ever wanted to make a willow basket but not known how to start, this lovely round basket is especially for you. Perfect for a small shopping trip! 

Drawing upon over a decade of basketry designing and teaching experience, Sarah has specifically created this basket for absolute beginners to successfully achieve in a day.

Whilst making this basket you will learn some traditional English techniques and find out about our rich UK basketry heritage. You’ll be weaving with willow grown locally on the Somerset Levels.

LEARN: The fundamentals of how to make a willow basket! How to make a catalan platter base, a 3 rod wale weave, a 4 behind 2 rod border and a Somerset apple picker twisted willow handle.

ABILITY: Ideal for absolute beginners!

VENUE: Chevithorne Village Hall, Chevithorne, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 7PU.

TIME: 9.15 arrival for 9.30am start. 5.45pm finish (approximately).
