2022 January - April Willow Day Workshops Announced Today!

2022 January – April Willow Day Workshops Announced Today! – 27th October 2021

My 11 new Willow Day workshops have now been announced to those who receive my MailChimp newsletter and on my website.  Due to the demand, if you wish to make a willow basket or lampshade with me please do head to my Courses page and book by clicking on any of the “Make A Booking Enquiry” buttons.  Full details and dates for each of the workshops, including my new for 2022 Berry Basket workshop, can also be found on my Courses page.

To receive details about future Willow Day workshops please do sign up to my MailChimp Newsletter List by heading to my Contact page. This enables you to be among the first to know about new Willow Days and as, due to demand, most of my workshops become fully booked before they are ever generally advertised, signing up to my MailChimp newsletter gives you a good chance of booking early and getting your choice of workshop and date.

For an even better chance of attending your chosen Willow Day workshop, by purchasing one of my gift vouchers you will have early priority booking over everyone else, (including those on my MailChimp newsletter list).  I now find people purchase my gift vouchers as a present for themselves as well as for their family and friends, ensuring that they will be at their 1st choice of workshop!  Please read the Gift Voucher details on my Courses page and email me at willow@sarahlebreton.co.uk to arrange this.

Please find below my latest news released in my MailChimp newlsetter this afternoon:

Workshops:  Over the past couple of months it’s been great to be back teaching at the Somerset Rural Life Museum and for RHS Rosemoor.  I will let you know of future workshops at these and other organisations on my website News page, but please do also check out their websites for workshops and events, it’s great to support wonderful South West organisations!

For 2022, alongside my newer willow lampshade and 2 Day Traditional English Basket workshops, I have created a Berry Basket Willow Day.  For those with some weaving experience, this new workshop enables you to explore my take on a traditional English Berry Basket, bought up to date with a lovely leather handle.

From April 2021 I resumed teaching both my own Willow Day workshops and for other organisations.  I have and will continue to make every reasonable effort to follow Covid-19 government guidelines, this includes social distancing, hand sanitising, ventilation and the wearing of face masks / visors.  Once you have booked your place/s I will keep you informed of any changes to our Willow Day due to Covid-19 and if for a Covid-19 reason you or I do need to cancel, I will postpone your place/s to a later date.

Events:  I’m really excited that for November until Christmas I will be the “Featured Maker” at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen at Bovey Tracey, TQ13 9AF www.crafts.org.uk.  Not only will you find my whole willow seating furniture and sculptural lighting on show, but I will be revealing my newly designed range, baskets inspired by our heritage and sculpted into beautiful and functional pieces.

I look forward to teaching you!  Best wishes, Sarah X

ps. The Featured Image is from my new for 2022 Berry Baskets Workshop.  Those of you with some willow weaving experience may just love making this neat willow basket that involves traditional techniques such as English randing as well as a lovely update of a leather handle!
